Just picture a scenario. You are camping on a mountain, there is a gentle cool breeze passing through your hairs. It's evening time, a little dark, but not too much. In front of you, there is a waterfall, far away from you, but since you are at a height, you can see it. The sound of water falling into the river is calming your soul. You and your friends are sitting around a bonfire. You are enjoying the mixture of hot and cold. Up above you, there are stars, a lot of them. It’s like it an entire galaxy above you. And it has been a while since you last saw so many stars because of the pollution in the city.

One of your friends makes tea for everyone and plays a song on his newly brought speaker that gives so deep voice that you, all of you are completely lost in the moment. Won’t you wanna live this in real-life?

There are a few artists in our Indian music industry whose voice is made for moments like these. I mean you listen to their songs usually, you like them, they are good enough. But then you go off traveling and play that song and that song gives you an entirely different range of emotions! Here are a few such artists, whose songs must be there on your travel playlist.

Mohit Chauhan

Mohit Chauhan — Hands Down, the best artist. The serenity and depth of his voice are amazing! Listening to his songs feels like this guy is made for Himachal. I mean don’t even need the lyrics, even Ooooooo…. from him pushes me into a meditating state!

Ankit Tiwari

Ankit Tiwari is most famous for his voice in “Apne Karam ki Kar Aadaaye”. The way he extended “aaayeeeeeeee… yaaraaa..”, I mean WOW!! See that is exactly what suits the woods, the voice so clear that it touches your soul. Just the voice, not the lyrics.

Arijit Singh

Do I even have to tell why? Since “Tum hi ho”, this guy has produced one after the other hit songs. Every song he sings directly goes to the heart! Be it a party song “the breakup song”, a raagini “Laal Ishq”, and don’t even start about the romantic hits. One of the best singers that India has ever produced!

Shaan

Shaan, The singer whose magic is completely different! Listening to his songs is not only the clarity and deep voice but also adds a little fun in his songs like “Bum bum bole” or “Chaand Shifarish”. His voice takes us into a completely different state.

Jubin Nautiyal

Jubin is a comparatively new artist. I am sure all of us have listened to his IIT Roorkee performance “Tujhe kitna chahe or hum”. His voice has the pinch that connects directly to the heart. Directly hits the center of the soul. He is very active on Instagram where he does he sings random songs as per users’ requests, and his voice sounds exactly as he sounds in songs, without even the music!

The Local Train

It is a new band that releases songs on YouTube. “Dil mere” was their first song I listened to on my trip to Kasol. On YouTube, there is a complete playlist they have created and every song is good to be running in the background, while you have fun with your gang.

Sanam

Sanam, Another band famous for recreating 80s and 90s songs. The entire group of Sanam has been extremely successful in creating a cult that listens to them. They have every famous old song and recreated, given it a modern touch.

Yo-Yo Honey Singh

Now, Did you really expect me to finish without Honey Singh. He is the odd one out on my list. But I guess, you also need some music to trip on and go crazy. I like Honey Singh's music. Although there are so many new singers, even better. But as far as I remember Honey Singh was the one who changed the definition of party songs and his songs are the one, which everyone can sing in unison. And trust me, there is no bigger joy than singing the rap of “Love Dose” on the top of your voice with your entire gang and pretending that you are a swagster.

Ritviz

Comparatively new singer. He makes his music using EDM. Now, I don’t know what, but there is something very different about his music. The way he mixes his voice and EDM is amazing. Feels like both are made for each other. Some of my personal favorites by Ritviz include: “Udd Gaye”, “Liggi”, “Sage”.

So, this was it. If you are on a trip, these artists can give you experiences you won’t imagine. Next time you are on a trip, Test it out.
